How the Google Funnel Works
Most customers are happy to review you twice — the hard part is friction. The Google funnel removes nearly all of it.
What the customer experiences
- They finish their review on your review page. It’s saved to your dashboard immediately.
- A final screen asks: would you mind posting it on Google too?
- Clicking Post it on Google copies their review text to the clipboard and opens Google’s review dialog for your business, already signed in with their Google account.
- They paste, pick a star rating, and post. About 20 seconds, no retyping.
Why every customer sees it
The Google invitation appears after every review, regardless of rating. That’s deliberate: Google’s review policies prohibit “review gating” — showing the Google prompt only to happy customers. Besides being against policy, gating is detectable and can get a profile’s reviews filtered or removed. PraisePipeline keeps you compliant by design.
In practice this works in your favor — customers who take the time to write a thoughtful critical review rarely bother reposting it, while delighted ones often do.
Good to know
- The customer’s PraisePipeline review is already saved before the Google screen — declining costs you nothing.
- Google doesn’t allow pre-filling review text (that’s why the copy-paste design exists — it’s the fastest approach Google permits).
- No Google account on the customer’s side? Google will prompt them to sign in; some will bounce there, which is normal.
